god save the queen what do ppl think of it comare to other countrys as theres are about the ppl and ours is about the queen should it be changed

I would prefer any anthem as long as it doesnt mention the queen and religion.

I don't know, I DO like the Sex Pistols' version.
Just saying. But yes, it is quite biased to those who don't believe in God...But you must remember that England is a constitutional monarchy, the song is bound to be about the queen, as she makes all the final decisions in the law of the people, in case you didn't know. I think they shoul change the song, but realistically speaking, you know they never will.
You don't HAVE to sing it, though.

what gets me is at football matches or rugby games wales scotland and ireland have their own anthem... but england sings the national anthem(for all the uk) and not just for england ...i like the suggestion of land of hope and glory though :) kind regards akanic

It's a bit dreary compared to France and Germany's but probably shouldn't be changed as it's as British as £sterling

its more of an English anthem than the rest of the UK. At sports matches, the Anthem is never sung unless it has to be!
