Whites claim they experience racism but my question is, is it racism or predjudice , i mean there are no crosses being burned on their lawn because of the color of their skin , they are allowed to eat and sit where they want , they can go to any school , they can purchase land, they can drink from any fountain , they can go to any bathroom but they say they are victims of racism because of comedians making fun of them or because of affirmative action, is this really what they consider racism or are they just experiencing predjudices.

Whites are not experiencing racism , it is their way of trying to be the victim among their victims. Th4ey cry about college funds for blacks but they don't mention that the fund was set up in a time where whites wouldn't allow blacks to attend their schools , blacks have been denied education so we had a reason to complain whites complain about no receiving handouts from white organizations, whites by nature want it all regardless if they deserve it or not.

A black friend of mine told me that black people cannot be racist, and that if a black person behaves in a way towards a white person that reversed would be racist then it cannot be considered as racism, it is prejudice. I don't agree. Prejudice simply means pre-judged - making the assumption before you know the facts. Racism is defining one race as superior. Why can't black people do this?
The actions you are describing that white people did didn't happen in England, so my cultural context is completely different. Our racist laws and crimes were never as severe - not on UK soil anyway. So black people in this country seem to feel differently towards white people than the US.
I don't know if what whites experience now could be called racism. It is probably more accurate to say that they are getting a taste of their own medicine.
Where I live I am a minority as a white English person. Maybe some whites would feel like they are being discriminated against in services etc because of such things (I could, for instance say that youth services in my area do not consider white English children as important), but if they think that that is anything like racism they really need to get over themselves.

Edit: you put your question in a very considered way, but it is disturbing to see how violent the language of some of the responses is.
Two wrongs don't make a right, that is all I can say to them.
Edit: when I said two wrongs don't make a right I was not just referring to the contributors who are black!

Yes, some whites do experience racism. It's a fact and racism is wrong. I'm white and I'm a minority at my place of employment. My salary was reduced because I was making more than a non-white person (who doesn't have the education or experience I have). Yes, I could have left the job, but I chose to stay. It's a fact of life and there's nothing I can do about it. For those of you, who think whites have everything handed to them are living in a fairytale. Some of us whites have it just as hard or even harder than others. Some of you need to stop bashing whites, it's getting really tiresome. 2D

My question to all of you is who owns the companies you work for ....whites, so why blame blacks for what your own people are doing to you, to the lady above me if your salary was lowered according to you it was because a non white person was making less than you , that is against the law and being you are a "top contributor" you should know what you had as options if that was the case but i bet you're another white person blaming blacks but i bet your work performance was the real issue and to the guy who it took 30 years to get a job at the post office, nobody had to prove you were a loser because you did it yourself the truth hurts doesn't it.

This was a perfect question to my benefit! I go to a white school and I am black. I think most white are racist because of the following "ghetto" remarks that we blacks have. For instance we are known to not be able to read. The saying is that "If you don't want a black person to know something, put it in a book!" which was a racial comment whites made. I've always stood up straight and stood for my rights letting not a soul get into my way and you should do the same.

Hope this helped!

ofcoarse whites experience racism. and i have. listen to yall. yes blacks got it bad in the past but that was a while ago...its time to move on and not stay in the past. its time to step foward and show what ur race can do. not sit there and ***** about how some white people are still racist. its a fact and i dont think theres ever gonna be no racist people. blacks always talk about how MLK jr fought for them and got killed cuz of whites. well i think MOST (not all) blacks just slap MLK jr in the face. he fought so hard for yalls rights and nowadays in the rap culture its cool to sell dope, sit in ghettos, do drugs, murder one another, and etc. thats not cool. take advantage. yes there gonna be racist ppl out there who wont hire blacks or go to school. but not all. work hard and step foward. and i experienced racism. i was expelled from school cuz blacks in my class was calling me honky, cracker, white devil. and i got in a fight for it and i got expelled. none of them didnt. THATS racism. so stfu. and grow up.

and juggerna, shut the **** up u ignorant ******. yes blacks got it bad. but think about native americans. THEY got it worse. and waht about the tainos? ****** whole race got exterminated. yes whites did it. but I didnt, and no living man today did it. so get over it and step up with ur life instead of holding grudges against white people. which in fact. is racism. one love. listen to some bob marley.

White people experience racism every day. They lose a job to someone because of the color of their skin not their qualifications. They cannot speak freely because of their own color of their skin. They cannot move freely because in some neighborhoods the color of their skin will get them killed.

Some people call it reverse racism. There is NO SUCH THING. Racism defined, goes both ways.

Imagine a White College Fund or a White Entertainment TV ... if you have to define it then you are separating it... and black people do a good job of wanting to be included but apart. You cannot have it both ways.

Racism is just another form of prejudice.
Everyone has to deal with. Everyone does it.

Some people experience and/or do it more than others; white or black, male or female, blonde or brunette, conservative or liberal, etc.

It's the form in which the prejudice is expressed (or if it's expressed at all) that makes the difference.

JMUFDIV, YOU HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET THE SAME JOB SINCE 1975, YOU HAVEN'T GAINED ANY OTHER SKILLS SINCE 1975, I SEE WHY YOU HAVE FAILED AND WHY YOU ARE NOT ADVANCING AT WORK..

I guess you blame the "low" IQ blacks for your lack of education because the post office only requires a GED.

Oh yeah i sent my daugther a WII for christmas and she hasn't received it yet can you check on that for me.
