Do you honestly think that FOX News is "Fair & Balanced"? I Don't mean to come across as anything but a fellow North American with a vested interest as to what goes on in Afghanistan. But as a Canadian who has the privilege of watching your news, (as well as ours & European); I have to tell you that you NEVER get the full story and what you do get is misleading, warped & twisted ... sometimes outright lies. Does it bother you that the media is not Neutral? That the media industry in your country is playing to one party more than the other in an effort to garner your support?

Oh, and please be clean, I'd like honest and intellectual comments. If you're just going to spew hatred, don't bother commenting. Honest opinions on this subject only please!

We also have the choice in the USA of watching Fox news, CNN, and BBC
and of course our local news stations and our Religious stations also carry news . For me it is entirely to much news . I do not have that much time to spend on the News, there are other things in life than watching all that destruction and violence, it is a question of the intelligence of the people that react in such a way. This is my honest opinion on the subject you raised, thank you and a Happy and Peaceful New Year

I've watched Fox News on a number of occasions and find it to be more of a 'shock value' newscast as opposed to one with some sort of ideological bent. Sure Fox News is far from neutral, but most news comes from sort of ideological bent whether it be BBC World's emphasis on social justice issues (i.e. Peshardt's People) to CNN's more populist perspective (i.e. Lou Dobb's Report)

This said, I'm far from a Fox News fan. I personally prefer BBC World as I find most American news programs to be rather insular in their reporting. They tend to focus solely on domestic events while giving international news attention only when it directly impacts the US.

To believe you get honest, unbiased reporting from the alphabet channels, abc, cbs, nbc, bbc, is to live in lala land. The liberal slant of the majority of the dinosaur media is a large part of the reason for their demise. Long overdue, I might add. If news reporting organizations were required to clearly identify fact from opinion we would all be better served.

I agree with you my fellow Canadian. Fox News is and always has been a ' tool' for the Republican Party and so slants its news to favour that policy. Kinda like Global news in Canada slants its news towards the Conservative policies.

We're lucky in Canada that we get not only the major US networks, but the Canadians and the BBC as well as other newscasts. Gives us a ' wider' more informed view for us to make up our minds.

Our media is DEFINITELY taking sides. Democrat and Republican. There seems to be no such thing as a neutral story anymore. Therefore, I don't see how we can actually get the facts from their reports.

I think FOX news is for the uneducated. They see the tv stars gossip, cases that are blown up into media frenzies, and worse Greta and Nancy Grace.
