I caught one homeowner letting his dog poop on my property ...and not picking it up. Here is what I did. I followed them to see where he lived. I went back to house...put on a rubber glove...picked up the poop and went to the guys house. I rang his door bell and when he answered it...I reached out my hand to shake his. It's natural to reach out and shake someones hand at this point. When he did...he got a handful of poop. I said..." Here...you and your dog left this at my house. Its gross isn't it?"
Needless to say he was pissed...but his dog never pooped in my yard anymore.

i get really annoyed by owners like that as well!
i dont think there much you can do if you dont want to harm your grass.
so here are a couple of alternative ideas...
put up one of those signs which say that youll be fining if your dog craps on the grass.
put up one of those signs which says trespassers will be shot.
put hidden spikes in the grass which will impayal any dogs.
put barbed wire around the grass.
ask the neighbours to not let their dogs crap there.
tell the neighbours to not let their dogs crap there.
if this doesnt work, buy a dog and get it to crap on their grass, doorstep, foot or next to their car.
then theyll see how they like it!
=)

You can speak to your neighbors nicely about the problem or you could put up one of those little flower bed fences that are several inces high. Keep off grass, or no dogs allowed signs might help also. Otherwise you could be mean and if dog left anything behind, pick it up and take it to the owner.

Get a BB/pellet gun and sit in your window with the curtains pulled shut except for a little crack.
The dog will get a lesson and associate taking a crap in your yard with stinging pain and stop quite quickly, and the owner won't know what is going on.
Don't worry it won't harm or kill the dogs, it will just hurt a lot. At most it will bruise, and it's impossible to see that beneath all that fur.
From then on those dogs will just FLY past your house.
Alternatively, electric fencing.

I have no clue except I have heard of the cayenne pepper thing. Maybe a small fence that stand about 12 to 14 " high. I know how you feel! It's not your dog and it's not your poo so why is it your problem.?

I had a similar problem but it was resolved just last week. The new neighbor was letting her large dog crap on my lawn twice a day. Since it's cold here, the droppings quickly became frozen and I could pick them up with a shovel and then place them right in front of the neighbor's front door. Well, this girl apparently isn't the brightest bulb on the tree because she still didn't get it. I saw her outside last week and asked if it was her dog and she admitted it was, then wondered aloud why there had been poop by her front door too. I explained to her that I didn't appreciate it by my front door either......and she finally made the connection. She's been cleaning up after her dog ever since.

you could put up a short fence to keep them from coming in your yard, or maybe put up a sign for a while saying keep off or put some doggie poo bags out their maybe people will get the point (you'd hope anyway)
good luck :)

You can try some cyan pepper. Sprikle it around the edge or mix it with water and spray it on.

There is a spray you can buy that repels dogs & cats. Or, the short fence.

How about a sign saying "Thanks for picking up after your dog"?
