Is this a good idea?

I don't think it matters if it's a good idea or not - she'll write it if she wants, and it'll no doubt be a best-seller!

Why she should

because its a great book

shes a great writer

she needs to give us a bit more info on the characters jobs in the future

Why she shouldn't

cos all good things have to come to an end....it'll happen eventually anyway.......why not now??

jo has to learn to let go!!!

itll be massive...probably 1,000,000 pages long

there wont be anything to write about...harry is happy with Ginny and the kids...what more can u add???

she has planned to do an encyclopedia....which is more than ebnough

Actually the only reason she said the last one would definitely be the last before it was released was to keep the secret of whether or not Harry died. If she said there would be another Harry Potter book it would have been pretty obvious he survived whereas that way he could have lived or died.

I would definitely buy it. Also she said that if she did write it, she would give all the proceeds to charity so what better reason would there be to buy it?

That moneygrabbing hag, I bet Harry Potter ends up doing more comebacks than Status Quo

No because the last one was so like the end! Voldermort has gone so there is no point. Harry has nothing to do now he has no enemys! I think she should write a new and different set of novels!

She said Harry won't be the central character. To me, it sounds more like a spin-off, rather than a 8th harry potter book

It would be so strange to call it Harry Potter and the so and so.

harry potter may have ended like a happy ending, but she left a space for further possible writing about Harry's kids and Ron's too. it may be slightly different but i wouldn't say no to the next book she writes

Too much of anything is potentially dangerous.I can understand that she wants to ride the high of being popular, but I think the low of falling flat wouldn't be worth it.If she decides to do it,she should take her time to keep peoples interest.I'd opt to leave while I was still on top.

I think it might be a good idea because she didn't do a very satisfactory ending to the last one. I thought she copped out by leaping years ahead. It gave me the feeling that she couldn't be bothered actually writing a real ending.
