To clear your data:
On the toolbar, if you go to Tools, click on the second to bottom option, Clear Private Data

Also under Tools, at the bottom of that menu, click on Options... A box will open with several options at the top... ie Mains, Tabs, Content,... Click on the Privacy tab. This will open up a window of preferences were you can clear all of your data. Click on the button that says Clear Now at the bottom of the list. You can even set the preference to clear the data every time you close Firefox.

At the top of the Privacy box, there are preferences about History. You can change if your computer memorizes the history or not. All of the preferences are up to you! :)

Manually Clear URL History in Firefox

Deleting Firefox's entire History list

1. Open Firefox.
2. Choose Internet Options from the Tools.
3. Click the Privacy button
Clear History.

Firefox immediately "forgets" the sites and pages you've visited.

To stop Firefox from keeping the list altogether, continue to step five, below.

5. Set the "Days to keep pages in history" setting to "0".

Go to tools - options - privacy.

There's a box there to check to clear your private data; it gives you the options of whether to clear history, cookies, etc - I don't generally clear out my cookies (I only accept them for sites which I'm fairly sure are secure or where I need cookies to stay connected, such as this one) and you can also set it to clear out whatever data you want every time you exit Firefox.
