My grandson put a photo disk in the drawer (not all the way, seated in the slot) and tried to force it closed. Now it will not show the pictures on my computer. Can this be fixed, I have tried all five disks of photos and none of them will show up on the computer screen, the light on the tower just keeps blinking.
John is there anything I can do, except call a geek?

May be the surface of the disk is destroyed by the action why this should affect the other 4 cds is not clear. There is a software problem on that PC I assume. Perhaps you have not a correct photo software on your PC.

I would suggest that you try to use a different CD with your CD drive. (Not one of the CDs with the pictures on it.)

If that doesn't work, then I'd suggest that you restart your computer and see if that fixes the problem.

If that still doesn't work, then I'd suggest that you try to do a System Restore to a time when your CD drive did actually work and see if that helps you to resolve this problem.

However, if that doesn't work, then perhaps you need to use either an external CD drive or get your CD drive replaced.

Good luck and I hope I helped!

Hi there. You hadn't stated whether or not the drawer will open so I will assume that it won't. There is a tiny whole near the drawer that you can poke a straightened paper clip into that will eject the CD drawer.

to remove the disk, open the bay door and insert a straightened paper clip in the little hole on the boom of the drive , this will release the drive tray
