Obamas plan calls for a removal of Combat troops, and no " Permanent Bases" .

Are bases in Europe and Japan werent permanent either, neither was the one in Saudi Arabia, NONE of our military bases are permanent. If we still have troops there we are still an occupying force, we are still trying to control theyre oil, We are still encouraging people to sign up to attack us and we are still commiting to many Tax Dollars to a failed foreign policy,

Well, Hilary has already stated that she will immediately withdraw all troops. She is crazy enough and iron willed enough to do it.
Obama has stated that he plans on a gradual withdrawal of troops with certain deadlines for the Iraqi government to get this and that done.
I am not sure what Edwards' plan is, but he probably won't win so it wont matter.
My point is that if a Democrat does win, our troops will be pulled out. No doubt about that. The patriot act might still be in place, you are right about that.

They won't be. What ever their public posturing for winning the election, they know pretty well that this war, with the present type of strong arm methods will not end so early.They are fighting Muslim fundamentalists who don't mind dying for their religious beliefs. Saddam, their own Muslim, was knowing to control all these die hards in his own style. Iraq should not have been touched while trying to fight out Terrorism in Afghanistan.Whatever surges should have been used there. Iraq is unnecessarily a new front. Another front was to be opened in Iran but fortuitously Iran is found to have stopped its nuclear arms production in 2003 itself.

It will be interesting. Hillary has already said several times that she won't pull out until it's the right time. Not sure about Obama, he seems reckless, so he might pull out on Janury 21st.. As for the others, Biden seems rational and since his son is heading over there in '08, despite him being the Delaware Attorney General (and having an excuse not to go, but a great political resume enhancer), he won't pull out (but Biden doesn't stand a chance), Edwards? who knows? not sure about the others, the media seems to be largely ignoring them.

As for the voters, they will be silent, but if we are later successful, they will lay all the credit on their candidate.

Good questions. I think whatever happens will be the same nonsense with a new name. A new crook will take the throne.

To answer your question;

Probably not since if they get elected our military will no longer actively engage the enemy. They will become sitting ducks for terrorists, after the left takes away their orders to fight back when attacked.
