My brother is big hearted & will want to take his kids out to buy some stuff for me, even though he is seriously strapped for cash after Christmas.

And opening presents is such a big part of a birthday celibration that I don't want to just drop it, I want to substitute it with something else.

Any ideas?

Going to the movies costs.

And I am wanting for us to have the traditional bring out of the cake with candles, singing Happy Birthday, blowing the candles out & then ...

... something to fill in the gap for opening presents which I don't want anyone to have to buy for me.

Get your family together and go to the movies. It is such great fun. I love the movies. We use the movies as a reward for my daughter's report card.

Ok, so what you do is have them buy you some small things (bath salts, lotion, ect.) then have them hide the things around the house, then you have to find them.
