Yes I also like getting them because it makes me feel like there was something special about my question :) And when people star questions it gets passed to everyone in their network so then more people will see your question so there is a practical purpose to starring as well :)

Yes i like it when other people think my question is intresting and answer it but that rarely happens no1 answers my questions its so annoying! Oh yea and ill give you a star..

I have someone who stars my Qs after I have picked best answer seems a bit strange but it makes me smile.
