I checked configuration on my computer and it says Swap files is disabled. I am not computer geek and not sure what this means.
What does it do?
Should it be enabled and how ?
I have Vista Home Premium.
Thanks for answer.

Swap files , also called as page files , are the files which use up a part of your hard disk and it works as virtual ram . But this is not same as ram and DOES NOT increase the speed of the computer more than how much the normal ram can handle . Page files are just like cache areas , when you keep multiple processes open , the main process remains in the ram and the others in the swap files.
