No, of course it is not a good reason. But look at what you are asking. The same corruption that they exude whilst in office is what got them elected to begin with. Special interest groups, political action committees, MoveOn.org., and local government and business interests that pad their wallets with the cash derived from kickbacks and bribes.
We already have term limits. It is called not re-electing the bastards. But when you have a state full of imbeciles like Massachusetts, who will elect Edward M. Kennedy for three terms after he's dead, and who also is a murderer, or a state like New York, who knew Hillary was corrupt and still re-elected her, or a state like Tennessee, who gave us three generations of being Gored to death, etc., etc., etc.
If people would just face facts and elect people based upon their public records and previous actions, and then kicked their @$$e$ out when they got corrupted, it would be different. But it's just not going to happen unless they stop looking the other way and be honest with themselves.

You are close. There are very few who haven't been corrupted by the system. The beacon of money and power is powerful.
That is why my family is working hard for Ron Paul. He is one of the few Constitutionalists left in government. We really need to throw out all the bums and lawyers (sorry I am redundant).
