Why does my PC crash (Blue screen of Death Driver Error) half way through the burning process when I attempt to burn data from a shared drive on my home network? Do need to configure something different on my PC's? BTW, I'm transferring the data via WIFI.

Buffer underrun, I'll bet. WiFi isnt fast enuf to keep up with the requirements of the burner and it "underruns" or starves for data.

no burning software recommends to burn cd from a share network data the reason is that in the operating system there is the clash of buffer over run and as well as the wifi data inf files and the burning software one clue is to write the cd or dvd below the average speed if you are using from a share network and one more reason is that the shared files might have files with long names or with a .exe virus in it and therefore during burning the anti virus intercepts and the operating system crashes

mayeb the wifi is not getting the data fast enough. check the buffer settings on your burning software.
Test if the file burns if you copy it to your local hard drive.

Also make sure you have enough temp space. if you are burning a DVD you will need between 5-10gb free.
