I am absolutly devastated that Marian has died. I just don't know how or why they have done it. When I found out that there was going to be a 3rd series it didn't say anything about Marian going out of it or about Lucy Griffiths leaving. I know that Jonas Armstrong is leaving after the 3rd series. Why did they kill Marian? I lived the fact that Robin & Marian got married but I think that it is so sad and shocking that she died. Robin & Marian's relationship was just getting interesting before all of this happened. I could see Gisborne getting angrier when Marian said that she loved Robin and that she was going to marry Robin. Gisborne killed her because "If I can't have you then no one else can." What do you all think? I keep hoping that they are going to find some way to bring Marian back and that she didn't really die even though I know thats not possible. It happened in the 1st series but not this time. I hate the Sheriff! I hate Gisborne!!!!!!! And I hate the BBC!

I think that a better way to end would have been Robin killing Gisborne before Gisborne had chance to kill Marian. Also a big question is - Is Robin going to be able to keep fighting? He said himself that Marian was the only reason that he was strong enough to fight so what is he going to do now? What do you all think?

Yes, I really do love it. I would rather watch Robin Hood than some other the rubbish that seems to be on TV at the moment.

Just been reading comments on YouTube and it seems that the general thought and hope is that Robin will have just been hallucinating from when the Sheriff brought Marian to where they were all tied up. That would kind of make sense. I'm not particullarly bothered just so long as they find some way to bring Marian back. Apparantly Lucy Griffiths did sign on to be in the 3rd series. So I'm certainly hoping.

Another interesting thing is that this time there was no blood. Even when Robin was carrying her. In the 1st series there was.

Floowyy !! - There is defiantly going to be a 3rd series because at the end the episodes it said that Robin Hood would be returning to the BBC. Also if it was a mirrage and Robin then it didn't show Robin waking up and that he was dreaming it because they are leacing us on a cliffhanger until the next series. That is definatly interesting what you said about the white dress. I don't think the BBC would have forgotten about blood because there was blood in the 1st series when Marian "died". Did you notince that when she pulled the sword out of herself there was no blood on that either. At the end Robin told Will & Djaq to "look after her". That could have meant look after Marian's grave or it could have meant that she somehow didn't die and was just to badly injured to travel back to England at that time that Robin had to go back. I could just be clutching at straws here because I am pretty much writing as I think but it is definatly an idea. Thanks!

Yeah, I thought that was strange to, that there was no blood, do you tihnk the BBC, could have forgotten. The Drama can't go on without Marian, and her and Robin, have to get married, but if it was a maraje, or however you spell it then wouldn't of Robin like woke up, and would he have seen hisslef walking home. Same I hate Gisborne too! Plus I think there is going to be a 3rdseries becuase, we didnt see what happened at the end with the sheriff and gisborne, they cant just go can they? Plus the sheriff says "I will have England!", I do hope there is a third series, I thought this one was a real tearjerker, but absouletly amazing!
Did you also notice that when Marian was talking to Robin when she had been stabbed by Gisborne, she didn't seem as if she was in that much pain, it looked like sh was normal and that she had been plunged with a sword, do you think that has something to di with it being a marage.
Also If there is a 3rd series then what are all of the 13 Episodes going to contain.
The kings deeds, like he said in the last episode? :S
There my veiws! :)
Also, wasn't marian wearin a white dress, which sybolise, how pure, clean and untouched she is, not to mention no blood, I think it was a mirage, and that she not really dead, roll on for the 3rd season! :)
I hope she isn't dead, :(
At the end when Wil said bye to Robin he like smiled a bit, if that was me I most likely wouldn't smile if someone I loved just died. I think it was a hullication, I think it started from when Robin saw Marian in the seasert, do you?
When is the second series out, I really want to watch the extras :)
Thanks
Yeah there wasn't any blood at all no where.
Also when Guy asked Alan if Marian and Robin were together, he looked like he wantd to help them, not kill marian, I no guy isnt nice but I dont thikn he would kill Marian would he?
I think Guy would rather help marian hat kill her, and also, The sheriff said I will have england, so there is going to be a third season! :D
What do you think wil happen in the new season?
Any ideas?

Yes, I also thought it was very strange indeed to kill off Maid Marian. This was not, as far as I can remember, part of the original story of Robin Hood. To kill off a main character seems to make little sense to me especially as there was a kind of sexual tension between the three players - Robin, Marian, and Gisborne.
I, for one, (maybe?) could not possibly hate Gisborne for the fact that the mere sight of him sends me into ... feelings I'd rather not enter into on here ... but, having said that, I truly believe his was a crime of passion.
Must admit I like the theory that the death of Marian was some form of hallucination by Robin - A sort of Dallas plot ... Remember Dallas? ... when Bobbie Ewing returned from the 'dead' because he wasn't dead at all ... It was a dream!!! OMG, don't I half go on?
Anyway, she can't be dead! She can't be dead like Robin and his men couldn't have commuted to and from the Holy Land (with horses!) in such a short space of time; neither planes nor Eurostar had been invented yet!!!

You sure do love your Robin Hood. I've only seen a couple of episodes however, it seems really strange that Marian dies.

well, when you are dealing with actors/actresses sometimes they want to leave (it's just a job to then, remember, even if a fun one!) and they need to be written out,no matter what the original legends say! In 'my' version of Robin Hood, the 80's series ROBIN OF SHERWOOD they killed Robin himself (he sacrificed himself for Marion & Much) because the lead actor, michael Praed, wanted to go to the US to do a broadway play... (Boy, I knew of a lot of tears shed that day, and some grinding of angry teeth when he was replaced by wooden plank jason Connery.,.)

I did not see this episode but I bet it all happened in the last scene and the programme finished right there. When the new series starts she will have been badly wounded and has recovered on a venison and goats milk diet. Also there will be a herbal dressing on the wound, if there was a wound.
Happy new Year.

However you may feel about it, David, I should say the truth, which is that death does come to each and every one of us, even Robin, you, and I.
