Jeez, if I were forced to choose a Dem, I could not go for Clinton, Obama.or Edwards, so I think Richardson.

I'm English so although I don't have a vote, being the only superpower left in the world, U.S. politics does interest me.
I'd be a natural Democrat in the US so in answer to your question, I'd pick John McCain.
For what it's worth, although I'm against political dynasties - especially after living through the incumbents term - I'd like to see Hilary, with John Edwards as her running mate for the Democrats.
Whoever wins it will need good fortune, what with the world's attitude to the U.S. at the moment.
Hsppy new year.

What happened to no ranting? Anyway...
I am a Republican, and am leaning slightly towards Romney, but if I were forced to choose a Democrat, I'd probably go with Joe Biden, because he's the only Democrat with an Iraq policy rooted in reality.

When you vote for any of the Republicans you're voting for the entire party. Given that the 'party', that is the movers and shakers of the GOP, are increasingly fascisti even the good intentions of any of the candidates probably won't count for much. I suppose if one of them denounced right wing radio propaganda that would at least show a guy with some stones. The problem is, the GOP has used right wing radio and FOX for 20 years to beat up the 'liberal' strawman they created and that factor alone has helped them win elections. Then there's the cozy relationship that the GOP has with the Jesus freak right. Would any republican canditdate ever tell these people to vote for him not because he's a 'christian', but because he's an 'American'? Not gonna' happen...wouldn't be prudent! Another factor is that all of the republican candidates constantly refer to 'Reagan'.....none of them refer to Eisenhower and his middle of the road republicanism. So, the short answer here is I could never vote for any of these guys...give me an Eisenhower republican and I might, but this bunch? Don't make me laugh!

Noah H-I totally agree!
I would have to say McCain because I think though he has played party politics this time around. He's still a maverick.
The republican party as it currently stands is a black eye in this country.

I wouldn't want any of them...but I would be sort of kind of okay with McCain--I was for him until he said he would overturn Roe v. Wade; then he lost me. But if he kept things the way they are regarding that, then I wouldn't leave the country if he were elected.
(I'm a Centrist backing Obama)

Any of them but Obama, Clinton, or Edwards....
In fact, I don't care what party they are in....as long as they aren't the media's "chosen ones".
