Well, you could say that, but it would be better to use "I have" or "I've", as that would be grammatically correct, particularly if you mean you still dream about being in the NBA.
You might say, "I always dreamed of being in the NBA, but then I broke my leg", because in this usage there is a clear end to the dream. Leaving out the "have" usually implies the dream is no longer a dream.
So it depends on what you really mean to say. If you are now in the NBA, or you no longer want to be in the NBA, your statement is correct.

"dreamed" should be "dreamt", but other than that, it's fine.
