Try a warm bath and them crawl into bed in your nice, comfy jammies, close your eyes, and maybe put on some light classical music. Always does the trick for me! Good luck!

For your period cramps I would say try to use a heating pad and see if that does not help. Also, part of the problem is that Midol has caffeine in it and caffeine increases your estrogen levels. The increased estrogen will increase your pain and cramps. It also increases your fatigue(tiredness), irritability, and depression. The reason Midol has caffeine is just a dose to act as a diuretic(make you pee) to get rid of excess water in your body to decrease your fatigue and reduce bloating during your period. So lay off of the Midol and switch to Tylenol or some other pain reliever.

This is what *I* do when I'm trying to fall asleep. Get comfortable and then pretend that you are sinking through your bed. This will relax your entire body all at once. Slow your breathing, but take deep breaths. As you breathe, let your body sink a little more. In your mind, picture a peaceful place. For me that is a path in the woods. I just start following the path and soon I fall asleep. I hope this helps you.

Take a hot bath, almost too hot. If you don't have a tub, take a hot shower for at least 20 minutes. Dress up in your favorite PJs, wrap up in a warm blanket and snuggle into your bed with some soft pillows. If you have a cat, bring it in to cuddle with.

You will fall asleep when your body said it's ok to do so. My brain will not shut off so going without sleep is the norm for me, thank goodness I live alone, I'm not nice to be around with out sleep.

Try thinking of somewhere you would like to be with someone you think is cute..
Eg: Warm beach with your boyfriend.
Then think of all the things you would do, not necessarily rude or dirty, it could be running through the waves !!
It works for me, or try taking a pain killer with drowsyness.

Drive to a pharmacy and get some Sleeping pills
