Government will always change somewhat. But we have to decide if we want it to change then try to make it change. Unfortunately, we have to understand that it will never change significantly unless forced too. Government is about maintaining the status quo. Politicians are mostly liars that care about the people that pad there pockets.

One "change" is that one will have to remember to write '08' on checks the day after tomorrow.
There is one thing to consider about "change".... there was an individual in the 2nd quarter of the last century that not only promised change (full employment, lowering inflation, vision for a new nation) but delivered on that promise. The result was millions of lives lost and the destruction of several countries.
So "change" can be a bad thing....

Many, if not most of these political leaders, are decent human beings, and we're very lucky to have such well qualified people from whom we can select our next president.
If we have to criticize somebody it should be the American voters who are often fickle, capricious, erratic, and most often searching for a handsome, and glamorous candidate in place of a well qualified one. When they do bother to show up at the polls, it's often because of a single issue that a particular candidate supports.
Neither Washington or Jefferson would ever have survived through the political debates we have today.
