My baby bearded dragon (14 weeks) has been sick this morning, hes been completely healthy up too now. But he has been sick this morning, bringing up two partially digested crickets, and then just some black liquid.

Weve recently changed from feeding him regular crickets to black ones, after being reliably informed that this would be fine for him, but we havent otherwise changed anything.

Keep an eye on him.
Are you giving him enough nutrients in his diet?
You need to be sprinkling that white powder, I can't remember the name of it, on his crickets.
Keep his heat lamp on constant to make sure that he is digesting his food.
Use a heat rock when possible.
Keep him out of drafts.
What kind of bedding are you using?
The best kind of bedding is the tiny sand like bedding. Comes in black or brown.
If he is not better by tomorrow, take him to a vet that specializes in reptiles.

Its sounds like the crickets are to big. Try smaller ones don't feed him for a about 3 days let his stomach settle down. If he does it again i would suggest theres an internal problem he could be impacted or have mites or parasites. Please do not use a heat rock there unsafe and can burn the beardie. As its a baby i would keep it on paper towels for a while then at about 6-8months use calci sand for substrate as its designed to be digested. Keep you crickets dusted with calcium powder. and make sure the temperatures are 110 basking and 80 throughout the rest of the enclosure. Like i said if he continues to vomit take him to a vet.

black crickets are fine to give to your beardie mine loves them, a good guide to feeding is, dont give them anything bigger than eye to eye size on him. i think 14 weeks is a bit too young for the black crickets tho hun, try putting him bk to brown ones with meal worms they like them, also they r very partial to curley kale, it might be beneficial to him that u feed him that for the next 3 days instead of live food, just for 3 days tho hun, if nothings changed after 3 days go to a vet with him. good luck
