It sounds trite, but you are never too old to go back. I am in my thirties, working on a grad degree. There are people older than I in our dept, some quite older. One woman who recently finished her Ph.D. is almost 70, and we have a few who are are in their 40s and 50s.
One thing I have learned from my is that many programs actually prefer older students. Every student in our department over the age of 30 has gotten full funding, in part because we are seen as more motivated, dependable and more likely to be active in the department and university-wide.
I hope this helps, and good luck!

No question you are young enough, and will be for a couple of decades more, probably.
The question that comes to my mind is, "why do you want to?" If it's a notion of improving your earning power, then it will depend on the specific discipline of the masters'--if it's engineering or pharmacology, you'll be doing well. Or perhaps it's a master's that promotes you in your current career?
If the answer is "I just want to" then no worries, go ahead and enjoy yourself.

Not at all. You are never too old to stop learning. In my creative writing classes, the older non-traditional students were always great because they have a different perspective and a lot of experience. I think the same would be true regardless of the subject.

I'm in school right now obtaining a second degree and I am 49, there is a lady in some of my classes who is 70. You are never too old to continue to learn.

I understand the answers already posted and I agree, you're never "too old" for something. But if you're worried about jobs, keeping the same one and pay rates, then I'd look into it more, ask around, but still take classes. It also depends greatly on what field you're in.
Good luck!

No way are you too old! You have many years ahead before you can retire. You should go for it and enjoy working at something you enjoy! Good for you!

I don't think so!
I'm considering going back to do the same thing; and I'm older than you are. I think people who are our age have the opportunity to still do great things with whatever education we invest in.

You are never too old to further your education. It's about self-fulfillment, not age.
