download this program called Nero 7 or above.

The only way I know to do it is not completely free. You can record using free the Audacity software at the link below; however, you can't just play a DVD and record the audio. For that you might possibly need a mixer that you can plug into your USB port. Unless there is software or a hack of somekind, I recommend the Alesis Multimix 8 USB, which you can get for fairly cheap (retail is $150, but I got mine for $125), but that's expensive for somebody who is looking for a freebee.

The way the first person suggest is to record what is playing on the computer so what you hear, i would suggest no having any window sounds on or AIM, MSN or Yahoo IM/PM things on as they have sounds...

When You upload the dvd to You'r cpt. it should list the audio files seperatly from the video files.

use a video editor. that will show you the audio tracks and you should be able to extract them from there.
