while making the payment on the HOUSE, the concern from ANY candidate other than RON PAUL?
He endorses the sound economic policy of returning to the gold standard, commidity backed currency that way our $ Dollar will hold its value, Sound GOOD?...
Then doing away with taxes...
well actually just the income tax, that way nothing changes for the Corporations earning huge profits,
but would return about 60% of the income of every individual in America, white collar and blue collar and we would NOT have to work 3-4 months out of the year to pay our hard earned $ that only goes to the interest we pay on....
----->the NATIONAL DEBT which by the way is paid to WHO?.........<----If you know you get 10 Points + BEST answer

Still an early campaign.
I appreciate you painting my actual concerns in your post though. I wish I had seen the source on this (its easier to detect the downsides when a fan isn't talking, no offense).
I like most of what you said. The only problem is that tax exceptions need to go bye bye for this to work. Its a good start, but not what I would call a finished product.
But, again, its still early and I haven't seen much from the other candidates other than "I'm not the other guy".
I wish people wouldn't tear you apart for presenting info, biased or not.
ND is money owed by the government and, via our government, money owed by the taxpayers technically.
As for mistakes...they have all had at least three strikes in my book. As soon as they attack other candidates BEFORE presenting any plan for our country's future that was a big strike. Who hasn't done that? Well, I'm at a loss :)
I'm glad to see some plans coming together but it will, I still predict, be the lesser of two evils come V-Day.

The income tax only accounts for about 15% FICA makes up the rest of the payroll tax on working peoples paycheck and that is matched by your employer. Elimination of the income tax would result in a quicker failure of social security.
The sales tax would be better than an income tax because it would be based on consumption of new goods. It would truly be a tax based on the spending of the rich not the sweat of the working class. The criminal evaders of the income tax would pay there part under the sales tax every time they buy cars or jewelry or anything else new. Used autos and house would be exempt from the tax as would be food and most clothing. The prebate system that is built in would send out a compensation check to every household based on size to offset the things we must have to live.
Huckabee is the only one talking about this option at the moment and it is far more responsible than the nonsense Paul is spouting.

Look, Ron Paul is an idiot! He wants the US to become an isolationist at a time where global economy rules the day. He is a well intentioned man who is passionate in his beliefs but he is not respected by either the Republicans or the Democrats so how does he and his supporters think he would get ANYTHING done?? It's a moot point anyway, he has about the same chance of winning this election as I have sleeping with Jessica Simpson!

I've been leaning towards Mike Huckabe, with Ron Paul as my second choice, but now I'm starting to go the other way. You have to admit they would make a good President/Vice-President line up.
I think the National debt is a ratio between $ brought in and$ going out. To me there is only two things that can happen when there is a debt:
Make more $, ie: either print it, or increase taxes, or become more productive...put more people to work. which gives you more taxpayers....Reaganomics 101.
Or secondly stop paying your bill's, ie: don't pay your supplier's and your programs ( I doubt that's happening ).
Keep in mind that even though our national debt is enormous, it's still just a fraction of our nations gross earnings. wow

Sure, some of that does sound good . BUT << Notice big BUT . BUT
BUT , there are other views from Paul that are insane . He's currently using 2007 knowledge to dispute Lincoln's 1861 knowledge and action in the Civil War . Therefore calling Lincoln wrong . When in fact Lincoln had 1861 knowledge and so did everyone else on the planet in 1861 . Paul's view results in a loss for black people .
Then there's Paul's voting against the 1964 Civil Rights Act . An act decrying that ALL men are free and equal . But Paul disagrees . Paul's view again results in a loss for black people.
Then there's Paul's acceptance of White Power Campaign Donations . Yet another loss for black people .
Then. . .. . do I even need to continue ? Paul already has 3 strikes against him for Civil Rights .
Amongst other CRAZY notions, Paul wants to abolish the FBI, the CIA, and Homeland Security . Absolute Craziness . If he had any comprehensive plan to fill that void left behind, then he surely should've said so . But he's vague . And that's DANGEROUS . STRIKE FOUR in a game that doesn't allow that many mistakes .

The National Debt of the United States of America is paid to foreign governments who have been loaning us money to keep our economy afloat since Nixon. It was too bad that Clinton couldn't have served more terms, as he probably would have paid it all off by now!
