A&L I believe that women who seek abortions do society a favour, because most likely they are indicent women raising indicent children, also there are less people around for my children to share the earths resources with.
However I admit that while Iam happy about the positive effects abortions have I have mixed feelings, since I dont think we should kill off people who can be called a strain or even danger on society.

Catwoman, abortion is beeing used as a contraceptive in 99% of the cases. If you are a decent woman, you do not get pregnant at a time you are unwilling to deliver the child. End of story.

Both would be placed on trial for the murder as the current laws for murder are written, but if new laws were to be passed, they may be written differently.

If an abortion is performed illegally (here in the UK that means after 24 weeks) then I think the abortionist should be put on trial for murder. Although the woman has sought an illegal abortion, it is the responsibility of medical professionals to refuse to carry out the procedure, and to provide her with information on her other options.
I'm still unsure about what should happen to the woman. You could say that she chose to break the law, which resulted in the death of an unborn child, and so she should also be charged with murder. Or you could say that anyone who chooses to abort in the later stages of pregnancy must be suffering some kind of trauma or shock, and send her for counselling to reduce the chance of her making the same decision again.
I don't agree with abortion at all, but if it's going to stay legal I think the time should be cut to something like 12 weeks (3 months). Most people have realised they're pregnant by then.
There will always be people who break the law, but that's not a reason to legalise something.
EDIT: So, if someone is unwanted, we kill them? Since when was the worth of a person measured by how much someone else wants them? What does that say about our society?
EDIT: 'It's legal so get over it' - once, slavery was legal. Laws change.

If an abortion is carried out illegally (right here interior the united kingdom which skill after 24 weeks) then i think of the abortionist might desire to be placed on trial for homicide. besides the certainty that the female has sought an unlawful abortion, it extremely is the accountability of scientific specialists to refuse to accomplish the technique, and to furnish her with strategies on her different strategies. i'm nevertheless uncertain approximately what might desire to take place to the female. you may desire to declare that she chosen to interrupt the regulation, which resulted interior the dying of an unborn newborn, and so she must additionally be charged with homicide. or you may desire to declare that any one who chooses to abort interior the later stages of being pregnant might desire to be suffering some sort of trauma or ask your self, and deliver her for counselling to shrink the prospect of her making the comparable decision back. i do no longer accept as true with abortion in any respect, yet whilst it extremely is going to stay criminal i think of the time might desire to be shrink to a minimum of a few thing like 12 weeks (3 months). maximum persons have realised they're pregnant by utilizing then. there'll continually be people who smash the regulation, yet it extremely is no longer a reason to legalise some thing. EDIT: So, if somebody is undesirable, we kill them? on the grounds that whilst exchange into the nicely worth of someone measured by utilizing how lots somebody else needs them? What does that say approximately our society? EDIT: 'it extremely is criminal so recover from it' - as quickly as, slavery exchange into criminal. rules exchange.

In the UK it is 6 months. I don't think it would be seen as murder for a woman seeking an abortion as she isn't actually performing anything herself but if it was illegal than the surgeon would be breaking the law.
I wonder also on this point, if a woman tries to give herself an abortion is this illegal?

I am a firm believer in a woman's right to choose but law computes the age of viability somewhere around 24 weeks. If someone murders a woman who is 24 weeks pregnant Then there are 2 murder charges filed against them. Very few abortions happen after the 4th month. I completely oppose partial birth abortion. Unless the abortion is performed illegally than no they shouldn't be charged with anything.

Wow all these abortion questions! I'm really suprised with some of your Q&A on this topic on this forum.( this forum in general-not you personally)
Are any of you old enough to remember the H*ll women went through to have abortion made legal? If not please do some research on the topic, before badmouthing women who believe we -as women - should hold on with our lives to this right.
Many DECENT women have made the decision to have abortions that had nothing to do with birth control. Please remember that before responding in anger to the next woman with an opinion differing from yours!
I'd sure like to know where you get your 99% stats. on birth control, because I tend to find that a real stretch of the facts!
And to the cartoon-Mrs. I don't think Catwomen was ranting at all ,she was just trying to express her opinions on this very clicky forum! It's a shame that as women we can't all just listen to one anothers responses here & learn about eachother instead of trying to jockey for first place!
OK ladies I'm ready for your thumbs down -get ready set go!!!

Anyone involved. Of course the woman and the "professional" (highly ironic to call someone who is performing under very unprofessional conditions) should be prosecuted to a higher level, but others involved (nurses, receptionists, friends and family, etc.) who knew of the illegal abortion being performed should be prosecuted as well.
batman's friend--You may have an honest answer (which I agree with) but you are simply ranting, not answering the question. Get off your high horse.

Abortion is legal to 12 weeks, not 24.
At 24 weeks, a fetus may be able to survive without it's host.
That could be considered murder.

This seems to fall into the category of murder for hire ( IF it's murder ). The mother hired the professional to murder her child..... If a woman doesn't want her fetus it should be called mercy, not murder. We have enough children that are unwanted by their parents. Until every "pro life" person adopts and raises an unwanted child, they should not be able to protest any other person's choices.
A&L---you must have had parents that wanted and cared for you...I speak from the other side of that coin.
A&L, didn't mean to assume. But it still sounds like you had a mother that cared about you. I can only speak of my life....I would have rather not gone through what I have. Abortion would have put me in a better place..only other thing to say is thanks for your compassion. What's with all the judgement on the site?

In Europe, abortionist women who kill their intrauterine children after the legal lapse are beginning to be punished.
Pro lifers don`t want it. They are not truly antibortionist.
Fetusphobia is similar to homophobia.
