the tragedy to spears is her believing her own hype...she was a low-level talent that was packaged and sold properly but she began to actually think she was her pr image...i see her going the way of elvis...some day they will find her naked and dead on the bathroom floor with a needle in her arm...

It depends on what you mean by a country bumpkin. There are many different types of "country folk". I believe that when she started she was a country bumpkin. She was a sweet child who was basically raised in to the limelight. She is caught between a world where everyone she became to know as a budding star(hollywood, orlando, etc... where it is acceptable if you're famous to do whatever you want.), and the world where she was actually brought up. (In Louisiana with a Christian backing and that good ol' southern life) A lot of what she does can show off her country up bringing, but it has mutated to fit her fame. There is the term "white trash" for a reason, just turn on a day time television talk show and you'll see plenty of it. The problem is that for Britney instead of having the whole trailer park know her business, it's the whole world. But she's so famous now that even if she is a has been, she has been primped for so many years getting told she is fabulous that she doesn't feel the need to keep anyone who speaks poorly of her around. If someone was telling you to do something you didn't want to, and you thought that they were just around you for the benefits, wouldn't you throw them to the side? I think she's going to have a harsh realization one of these days.

I live about 15 minutes from where Britney was from, we were all so proud of her, and now through her drug induced mental break down she is giving her hometown a bad name. You would have thought after the struggles of watching her sister that Jamie would have been smarter, but she's just another white trailer trash hick. Just goes to prove that money cannot buy class.

Tis true...not all of us who reside in rural America are hillbillies.
It is also true however that one need not reside in the country to behave like a loser.
I don't know where Britney Spears is from. I do wish she and her trashy family would stop showing up on tabloids in grocery stores though. Grocery shopping is unpleasant enough without having to look at their dumb faces while going through the checkout isle.

I agree. But you try telling all her stans that. I made the mistake of commenting on her latest video on YouTube negatively - I honestly though my life was in danger, and to be honest I'm disgusted that this fame wh*ore still has young girls looking up to her and wanting to be like her.

How can you argue that she's a typical country bumpkin, and then say that real country bumpkins don't behave as poorly as she?
No. She's not a typical country bumpkin. Us bumpkins know how to act.

I agree, if it wasn't for her antics that showed up in the magazines and Entertainment Tonight type tv shows, she would already be done as any kind of celebrity.

I agree with mrjones5. She didn't have any talent, really. Should have been one of those 'one-hit wonders', but the media had to have another child star morphing.
