I came close ....to settling for less, and now even from a distance I have the very best. He is all I want and all that I have ever needed. He is truly the Love of my life. So a loud emphatic NO!

Not really less - Just different. My relationship with the love of my life was too intense to sustain. We parted ways (still friends) after 3 years.
A year after that, I met my current spouse. We agree on the major things, such as religion and money, laugh together daily, are compatible and comfortable together. Very little drama; much peace and contentment. It's all good!
Namaste,
-Z

Never! But You will never know the love of You"r life till it happens, so there may be many misleading tormentors & decievers of the heart along the way.But with My experience it dosn't take long for it to show when someone is playing falsley on a genuine heart becase they can..And then NEVER settle for it because there is someone who is meant for You.

IDK haven't met him yet .... :( o well. But a significant other doesn't have to be the "one" for you to miss him/her after breaking up. Most people compare their last relationship to their current one, so there will always be conflict when it comes to that aspect of the relationsip. If the individual you are talking about is/was the love of your life and you are no longer together, and he/she treated you with respect and all that jazz then you shouldn't settle for anything less.

Not in a million years! After 28 years my wife and I have a good understanding of each other and I am just to old and unwilling to try any new relearning with anyone else. Judy is my everything and that is all I need in this life!

No. Life is hard enough as it and to go through it with watered down expectations is not even worth the price of admission.

It depends on the circumstances. If I were unable to have the love of my life I would. I believe there can be more than one person to truly love. that is just my opinion

I'm too fickle to have a Love of my life, I prefer to have many loves so that I can pick the one that best fits my mood :-)
