It increases the levels of nitrus oxide in the blood. NO2 is directly linked to errections in men. Therefore, increase these levels, getting erections is much more easily. If you take viagra and do not need it, then the only thing that will happen is you might get a lasting erection. If it lasts longer than four hours (which is a higher risk taking it if you don't need it) then you'll need to see a doctor. It can also lower your blood preasure substantially, but in a regular healthy male, this is generally no fatal. Where it can be a problem and bad reactions is if you're on certain drugs. I know this is especially true if you're on drugs that regulate heart problems or MAOI inhibitors. PS. I read some about meth addicts using the combination of speed and viagra to allow them to have erections even though the meth would otherwise keep them from doing so... they didn't have ED though.
