From this side of the Atlantic it would seem like 49.9999999999999999% for Bush and 50% against, however the legal profession had the casting vote and put him into power. So much for democracy, not much better here only about 10% of those elligable to vote voted Blair's government in.

If the standard of spelling and grammar on this website are anything to go by then a lot of people wouldn't have known which box to cross on the ballot paper and probably just guessed so the 'pursentage' would be meaningless.
Like him or not if you have any respect at all for your President then you would afford him the common decency of a capital 'B'.

Percentage of what? The morons who voted for him?

The first election he LOST the popular vote, but the Supreme Court sanctioned his theft of the Presidency anyways.

The only reason Bush got elected was alot of people did not want Gore for Pres.

That's a toughie because thousands of voting papers were lost when the ballot boxes went missing. In whole areas where he was unpopular, votes went astray and so, who can honestly answer that question with any certainty.

In 2004 - Bush 50.7% Kerry 48.3%
