I Bought a car last thursday on my first journey out on friday the seats were a bit damp after a full car wash inside and out how long does it normally take for seats to dry in winter weather

It depends on how wet they are. Anything you can do to keep the interior warmer and have the air circulate, will help dry it out. If you have a garage, then use it and leave the windows down. You could also put a trouble light in the interior to help keep the insides warmer.

Not too long, leave it parked in a warm garage with the windows down or put a towel on them if it's bothersome. It's because they steam cleaned the upholstery.
