Both are super hard to do/accept. I think doing the dumping is harder for me because I hate hurting that persons feelings. At the same time being dumped really hurts as well. I guess if it came down to it, I would rather be dumped because I just don't have the heart to hurt someone else...I would rather get hurt. Silly, I know.

Well, neither is a good feeling, but I'd rather DO the dumping. At least I know I was right. If I get dumped, then there's something wrong with me.

I guess I'd rather be dumped. I am a very commited man and do not take my commitments lightly, so if I'm the one getting dumped, I still have my sense of commitment to feel good about. Either way it's over and it hurts.

Surely nobody WANTS to be dumped! I have been several times and it is horrid. I have only done it once, and he was very mean to me and I had only been with him for 2 months so as he was a total sh1t anyway, I didn't feel bad for ditching him... So I would rather from be the dumper than the dumpee; but on the whole, I would rather be neither!

I've always been the dumpee. So I'm holding out now for that someone special. I think i prefer getting dumped, it's character building and teaches you not to make assumptions about people.

For some reason women always use the line,
"You were really great but i think it's better if just stay friends."

Which translates in my head as,
"I've found someone more attractive than you. I'm going to sleep with them now, but can you wait for me if it doesn't work out?"

Oh well their loss. Though deep down it makes me think the phrase "They're only after one thing" shouldn't just be stereotyped to men.
