Hi all. I have finally decided to get a new laptop. Basically, I think I have found the one that will be best for me and it is quite expensive. I dont want to spend all this money only to find that the laptop I bought, is actually no good. Just want to quickly add that the sole purpose for this laptop is going to be gaming, both single player and online MMO's. :)

Basic specs for it are as follows:
Base System-Intel Core 2 duo processor T7800,Operating System- Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit, Memory- 4GB, Video Card- Dual NVIDIA Geforce 8700M GT with SLI technology.

Im pretty sure thats all the important stuff. Hope I have not missed anything. I want it to be able to run the latest games well and on high settings (obviously). Games such as stalker, Bioshock, maybe crysis, Supreme Commander. Also future MMO's such as 'Age of Conan'.
Sorry about dragging this on. Anyway does this seem like the perfect laptop for a gamer right now? Thankyou for reading and any help would great! :)

Sounds like the Alienware Area 51 m9750. Excellent choice for a gaming laptop. The 8700 in SLi mode will offer much better performance than the 7950 in SLi mode, and you'll have DX-10 support. Just make sure you get a 7200 RPM hard drive.

I only have one problem with your choice. The Vista operating system is still a problem child for Microsoft. Personally I would get the XP operating system with the 64 bit dual processor, 200 gig plus memory. Keep everything else the same. The XP system is much more stable and more programs run on it than on Vista.

If i am not mistaken that is a dell XPS laptop and they are awfully expensive, but the quality speaks for itself, however u shoudl go for a 64bit version of vista because 32 bit versions can only use 3gb-3.5gb of your ram, it is a known bug i 32bit OS's.

With those specs you could run ANY game on mamimum settings

However i would search around a bit for cheaper alternatives, but if you are happy paying that, go for it :D
Damn fine quality machine

Hope it helped :D
