This is always so hard for me to say because while I'm aware of all the talent, I'm not so aware of the ego matches and how the different artists would feed off of each other, if at all. For a band to REALLY sound great, all members really need to click with each other, and that's the unknown here. Oh well, with that being said:

vocals: Jim Morrison
guitar: Pat Travers
bass: Jack Bruce (backing vocals)
drums: John Bonham

That's so wierd! Before reading the body of your question I immediately thought of Mercury on vocals and Page on guitar. However, I've decided to answer "I wouldn't". So-called rock supergroups have a way of really letting us down, as evidenced by the dismal failures of bands like Asia and The Firm. Cream is probably the exception that proves the rule.

Vocals: Robert Plant
Guitars: Richie Blackmore and Tony Iommi
Bass: Geddy Lee
Keyboards: Rick Wakeman

All from the prime of their respective careers...how cool would that have been?

To the answerer above Me
Whoa Whoa Whoooooooaaaa
Asia would be a Smashing Sucess...not a dismal failure Thank You
Any group with Steve Howe on guitar and Carl Palmer on drums is going to be damn good...and if You really think Asia was a failure I'd suggest You check into their album sales...they were anything but.

*Edit 2*
Yea I thumbs downed You because if You think Asia was a failure You are dead wrong so thanks for thumbs downing Me back...yippie

*Edit 3*
It's the idiotic No Life Thumbs Down Troll back for another attack here I see........get a life You waste of oxygen.
