He choose to leave the show to do other things. Based on the way he died, even if he wanted to come back I doubt they could write a believable way of him coming back. But then again, the Lost writers have been "lost" on a actual plot for a long time now, and I'm sure they could find away. Maybe he's fighting the monster with Gandalf the Grey and the Merry that is traveling with Pippin is an evil clone. Oh... wow.. I know where the island is now. It all makes perfect sense.

Ugh! I've been waiting for the new season just so I can find out the answer to your question. I don't want to believe he's dead, but it's entirely possible. With all the plot twists, it's also possible that he will somehow survive. It's really hard to say. I'm still waiting to see if Michael and Walt show up again.

I love Charlie too but I think he's definatley brown bread. I was really gutted when Eko died. He was my favourite character. (Other than the luverly sawyer). Who knows with Lost though. It changes so much I need to watch the whole lot again to remind myself whats been happening.

I think he's really dead, but maybe Desmond puts on some scuba diving gear and swims through the hole that the Russian nutjob blew wide open. Then he grabs Charlie, swims for the surface and resusitates him. Mehhh. It's possible, but don't count on it.

In this article i found it is impliing that Charlie is definatley dead, however since shannon and boone have died they have still came back in scenes so maybe charlie will too!! :D

I think he comes back in people dreams ect. I read somewhere that all the character that have died that that isnt the last of them.
I loved that fact though that Charlie died to save Claire aww

I think he is probably dead, but it was still a stupid death, he could have escaped quite easily.
