Is this proof that women cant handle fame on their own? I know people will say Victoria Beckham, Wayne rooneys fiancee etc etc. But without men in their life they are truly spoilt as this link shows. Good on the authorities

Don't be silly....behind every famous man is a strong able women. Not only are we spoilt without men in our lives, we are also truly happy. And before you get on you're misogynistic high horse.....NO i am not a lesbian............although my daughter is and she is also very happy.

It is unfortunate that the 20th century gave birth to the media, which in turns publicises and lauds mere mortals for the sake of publicising rather than any virtue the said may have to offer society. In days of yore, famous people were, Warlords, Philosophers, Poets, Generals, Sportmen, Great Thinkers, Religious Leaders, Great Socialites, Courageous Heroes, reknowned beauties.

Alas manufactured media fodder merely produces mass mediocrity all vying for the centre position, with none having any discernable attribute, virtue, trait, wit or guile than the last...

Be Unique Individual Loved.

Cant see where you are coming from on this.

Seems that there is a history of Miss France winners (or any beauty contest for that matter) cashing in on their success. I should say that I believe this sort of contest is a somewhat dated and sexist institution. But,, assuming she made money out of this, how is this "not handling fame"?

Seems to be a good example of handling and capitalising out of fame.

Are you deluded? You suggest two famous but untalented women and a beauty queen. What about all those women out there who are famous, talented and rich. Or any combination of the three. Think Helen Mirran, Madonna, Aleesha Dixon etc. etc.
Also think of all the women propping up their men and allowing them to succeed without having to worry about everyday hassles.
