try to narrow down the problem
do you have a shift lever or a button to put it in 4wd
if it has a lever most likely cause is front axle not engaging
it is done by vacuum. The servo is under the battery and battery acid sometimes rots the hoses look for a broken or disconnected hose.If it has a button it can still be a vac. problem or it can be a problem with the motor on the transfer case. sometimes tapping the motor will free up a stuck one

Most likely it's a problem with one of the switches, actuators or valves in the controls to engage the 4WD...common problem on those year Blazers...have a repair shop diagnose it.

What is it doing? If is trying to engage but hear grinding you need to check your fluid and guaranteed you need fluid. If is simply not engaging, I hope you know that you need to place in the mode then drive slowly forward and then drive back, well that out of the way if is simply not engaging and not making any sound is an electronic problem fuse,switch,power wire, etc....

check yor vacuum hoses from under battery where vacuum unit is..the hoses go to sensor on back of engine and down to transfer case..they come off and crack a lot..gm had a recall on some yers of s10 blazers......check your dealership in the area...good luck
