certainly there are safe medicines for this purpose that can be used for shorter periods of postponements. You may consult your Doctor for this purpose.

The only way I know how to is through hormonal contraception like the pill or depo shot. Its still not guaranteed though. There is a new birth control pill that you only have like 4 periods a year, and an even newer one that delays your period all together! My friend had a mirena iud and she never gets her period anymore.

If you are on a contraceptive pill you can delay your period by skipping the ones you usually take when you have your period(they are quite often sugar pills, but not 100% sure as it may have changed since way back when) and continue taking the pill. If you are not on the pill then I do not know how you can delay your period. Go ask a doctor! He/she can help you.

Go on the birth control Pill! If you dont take the inactive pills (the white sugar pills) and continue straight on to the active pills you can skip as many as you want with no bleeding at all! Works a charm! (apparently its not good to do it all the time but I've been doing it a while and i feel fine so im sticking with it!)

You can delay your period such as for medical reasons like endometriosis by taking the pill in such a way that you only take the hormone pills and then start a new pack each time. I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what additional suggestions they may have.

Skinny people tend to NOT have periods.
But I dunno.

--EDITED--

I get an email telling that birth control pills can kill.
One woman took it, and she got this blood clot.
So she die from it.
I can forward the email if you want!
