I'm 11 dpo (and although I KNOW it's still early), i did test.

Las pregnancy i tested positive at 9 dpo.

Has anyone seen an evaporation line on a FRER (first response early result) test before? I see something but it's not really pink but it's not really colorless or grey... my eyes could be playing tricks on me. You definitely have to squint an glare.

My only question to you all is, have you seen an evap line on these tests before?

Thanks,

Did you take the test apart? I used to take them (FRER's) apart before applying urine (because its fun to "analyze" the heck out of those lines lol) and when I did that I did get several odd looking lines. Like you said, not quite pink, but not quite gray either. But I have had 2 miscarriages in the last 3 months, one was a chemical pregnancy. I discovered it by "peeking" at a test I had trashed about a half hour before. There was a good looking pink line. (and this test I had not taken apart). Despite what anybody says, I considered this a positive.

Like the PP said about peeonastick.com, Meg says that any result read after 10 minutes should be disregarded. But that's no fun.

"A real positive is identified by its color (pink or blue, whatever the color of the test's dye is) and its appearance within 10 minutes of urinating on the stick. A line that appears after 10 minutes, regardless of color, must be considered an evap line and is caused by the test's chemicals changing. HPT's are rapid assay diagnostics, which means any results appearing after the "rapid" time limit of 10 minutes are invalid."

Try to resist the urge to pee on a stick for a few days, simply because those FRER are SO expensive!!! If you must (and I do know that feeling) buy some dollar store cheapies so you can get your "fix". LOL

Good luck and I hope you get your BFP this month!!!

i've taken a few pregnancy tests just for fun when I knew I wasn't pregnant to see if there is such thing as evaporation lines. well i'm sure there could be but with all the different tests that I did and one of them was a first response, i kept them for at least a week and none of them ever showed any evaporation lines.
i'd say you are pregnant.

Yes, when I tested with first response I did it three times because I thought my eyes where playing tricks on me and no other test that I bought said yes But I went to the doctor and I was pregnant and you probably are too. Good luck and maybe congrats!
