the probable cause of your inoperative tachometer, speedometer and cruise control is a burnt #1 fuse in the underhood fuse and relay box. That fuse supplies the power to both gauges.

The underhood fuse and relay box is located in the passenger rear of the engine compartment. it should have a black lid on it that is about 4 x 5". The #1 fuse is a 10 amp fuse so it will have the number 10 on it.

the cruise control is tied into the speedometer so if the speedometer doesn't work the cruise control won't work either.

if the fuse is good then the problem would be with the ground for the gauges that is located behind the center console. the ground is a wire with a metal eyelet on the end that is screwed into the metal engine wall. If the lights on the instrument clutster work then ground is probably good.

the only other possibility is a problem with the gauge cluster printed circuit board but that too is unlikely. its probably just the fuse.

hope that helps

OMG why can't you people spell VTEC right its not v-tech or vtech or v-tak its VTEC!!!! Spell the damn thing right. VTEC stands for Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control NOT Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control and hashbrowns.
