BENAZIR ; TEARS FOR A PLUCKED ROSE.

She was a rose,
Among thorns, of extremes,
Opressed womanhood,
Oppressed downtrodden,
She was courageous,
Even death which
She recieved courageously,
Perhaps courage
Was her second name,
She led a population,
In faith of developing it,
Tears rolled on cheeks,
At her assassination,
On many faces, uncontrolled
Grief stricken, she became
A matryr in a few days time,
On landing in her homeland,
What would have the earth
Felt where the tears fell,
Though a lot more blood
Was shed, we have nothing
But tears for a rose plucked
Before being withered by time.

Its a good poem....

keep writing...
and 'courage was her second name'....is a wonderful
expression...but i have to see whether she was so...
you cannot hide the truth that she was involved in so
many corruptions when she was the pak prime minister...
but the poem is worth the situation...we should forget
her faults and should remember her services and political
veins....

and this i think is probably the first elegy written for
Benazir..........good work!

by the way, who is Ravikiran Arakkal?

Heartbreaking collective trauma.
"Vengeance is mine and I shall repay," thus saith the Lord.
