This is very true. Their Tiger did not behave like one would in the wild. You have to take in different factors: Weather conditions, terrain (like somebody else said). Lack of Food: Which has gone the longest without food (Strength will go to whomever ate last).etc...
The guy who said the tigers bite would not go through the Bears hide. That is very untrue. There have been documented cases in Russia (where the Russian Brown bear is going extinct, whose habitat overlaps the Siberian Tigers) where Russian scientists have tagged Russian bears where they have found Deep puncture wounds from bite marks that did not match that of another Bear, but more from a large Tiger. Wounds that definitely pierced right through the bears hide. These puncture wounds were found all around the neck area. So the show doesn't really factor in all of these. I saw the same show and they did not factor in alot of things.
Qoutes out of the encyclopedia:
Siberian tigers and brown bears can be competitors and usually avoid confrotation; however, tigers will kill bear cubs and even some adults on occasion. Bears (Asiatic black bears and brown bears) make up 5-8% of the tigers diet in the Russian Far East.[31].
THEY KILL & EAT BROWN BEARS. Tigers are solitary animals. They hunt alone. So One Tiger can bring down a BROWN BEAR. mmmmm A tigers Teeth can't punture a bears hide. Well then how do they eat BROWN BEARS. Keatur should do a little research and not soley rely on one televison show !!
Tigers may kill such formidable predators as leopards, pythons and even crocodiles on occasion,[42][43][44] although predators typically avoid one another. Tigers have been known to suppress wolf populations in areas where the two species coexist.[45][46]
Crocodiles have tougher hide than a BEAR and they are still able to kill them ...................

Anaconda's are pretty weak and no they don't "kill off" things when they're annoyed, also all of those animals would be too big for even the biggest anaconda and could easily fend one off using teeth, claws antlers or just their sheer size. Any one of the other animals listed could easily step or bite the anacondas head or neck until it's skull or trachea was crushed. The anaconda would be too slow to strike on land especially if it had no hiding place for an ambush. Grizzly beats gorilla because grizzlies are way bigger at about 990 lbs while even the heaviest gorillas only weigh 590 lbs. Grizzly bears have sharp teeth and claws while gorillas have only finger nails and not a very strong bite. Tigers would obviously win against a lion because Siberian Tigers are bigger than even male lions. They are also just as experienced in fighting as a lion because they fight over territory with other tigers. The male lions mane would not be too much protection because during fights (not while hunting) tigers don't even go for the neck. Either tiger or bear could kill a moose. A tiger would tie against a grizzly because Ussuri brown bears (a subspecies of grizzly bears) are occasionally preyed on by Siberian tigers, and are estimated to make up 1.0-1.5% of their diet. They are typically attacked by tigers more often than the smaller black bears, due to their habit of living in more open areas and their inability to climb trees. When hunting bears, tigers will position themselves from the leeward side of a rock or fallen tree, waiting for the bear to pass by. When the bear passes, the tiger will spring from an overhead position and grab the bear from under the chin with one forepaw and the throat with the other. The immobilised bear is then killed with a bite to the spinal column. After killing a bear, the tiger will concentrate its feeding on the bear's fat deposits, such as the back, legs and groin. Tiger attacks on bears tend to occur when ungulate populations decrease. While tigers can successfully hunt bears, there are also records of brown bears killing tigers but in in a one one one fight it it would be a tie between the two animals.Yeah so it's a draw for the grizzly and the tiger.

I believe the bear's power in both paws can injure the tiger and then the game is over. The tiger is dangerous with quickness and speed until the moment the bear gets the big blows in.
I'm seeing a lot of responses about how one can outwit the other. With both their enhanced senses of smell negating a potential surprise, I would think this fight is fought straight ahead to the bear's advantage.

I believe the Tiger would win against the brown bear (on average - especially if they are of equal weight) but against a Grizzly or Polar bear, the bear would win (generally speaking - there can of course be exceptions depending on the size of the animals, who ate last, and prior injuries).

Neither and both. They really are equal. That's why they avoid each other in the real life as much as possible.
When Discovery tried "brown bear vs. tiger" in Animal Face-Off, the bear won, but I think their tiger behaved in a way a real tiger would not have behaved.

there is a show on discovery or animal planet called "animal face-off"
basically they go through and test out both animals strengths, like bite force, speed etc...
The bear won. The bear was just as fast as the tiger, but he was stronger and much bigger. His paw swipes could breaks a tigers spine in one hit and running at full speed he hits harder then a small car.
the tigers main way of killing its prey is the neck bite, which he cant do against a bear and his other way to bring down prey is by deep gashes with their claws, which were in effective against a bears thick hide.
tiger never stood a chance

situation would deal a great part on who side is winning! i think both have diffirent approach in killing, so it would depend on the area and time also, coz bear can't see much at night but tiger possible can.
