Don't apologise - if you don't know you don't know.

The injection lasts 3 months then you go for another injection and so on.
For some women it stops the periods totally, for others it cause spotting.

Be aware there are side effects - they will be different for everyone but i became moody and aggressive and my periods stopped which was lovely for a while. I was 16 when i took it and stopped having it at 17, my periods took a couple of years to settle as well.

Take a look at reputable health websites and look at a few which cover the injection.

Hi the injection last for 3 months done by your GP. I had it years ago and it did not agree with me but it does effect people differently. Through the experience I had It made me bleed all the time so bear that in mind also when I decided to come off it it then stopped periods for 6 months. Personally it was one of the worst things I had tried - Have you seen the size of the pill it is tiny my advice to you would be give the pill a try first - Good Luck hun

The only injection I can think of is depo provera and I would NOT ever recommend that to anyone, especially a 16 year old as it treats a majority of women horribly.

Why can't you take tablets?

I'd try the patch or the nuvaring.

Your question is not very clear but I think you may be referring to Depo-Provera which is an injectable birth control which lasts for 3 months.

the injection lasts 3 minths and they stab you in the bum!!! it hurts a litte but i decided to stop the injection because after it put on loads of weight, i now have the implant that goes under the skin on your arm and stops you getting pregnant for 3years, only thing with it is my periods are more irregular than ever, but some women dont have any on the implant.
