The effect of a thought is nothing unless you decide to act upon it. This could mean a realization or an answer.

I think therefore I am. We can deduce from this statement that existence comes from thinking. But then again from what I have gathered is that a lot of people in the world plainly do not think, which means thet do not exist. Wow George Bush does not exist, well thats alot off of my mind, I don't need to think about what stupid think he is going to do next. Nope no need to think about that. Wait a minute why am i suddenly disappearing..

depends on the thought but sometimes a thought can confuse rather than help well in my case it does but then again im dizzy with thoughts that r not my own lol
