The big computer thing from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy would not lie to us, the meaning of life is 42.

hah in all honesty though, i think the meaning of life is what each individual makes it out to be. What the meaning of it to one person will probably differ from everyone else's interpretation of it. So basically, its up to us to decide that for ourselves as we live out our lives and realize where we are going with it.

I don´t understand your question completely. The part of what is the meaning of life in the inverse yes, I think the meaning of life in the universe is not that big as we would like to hear. Life is a phenomenon and I am sure it is a common phenomenon, more that you´d be comfortable with. Of co use I have no proof of what I am saying it is just a guess.

Everything its not 42? I don´t get it.

There is no meaning. There is no purpose. That was the whole ironic point of the computer Deep Thought's answer in HHGttG. No-one has to justify their existence.

Life is accidental, or incidental. Life is a series of chemical reactions - extremely complex, but chemical none the less.
Hang on to life for as long as possible, be as happy as you can, because it is the only one we have.

The only reason you are here is because all your ancestors, over 3.5 billion years, survived.
Remember - the simple answers are usually the correct answers.

Some said life has no meaning. We can say that, but we can't live it. Ask them if they have any reasons for living and they'll say yes. Then ask them if there is any difference between meaning and reasons for living.

Our lives have meaning when we live for a real purpose and purpose requires God.

“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell (noted 20th century mathematician, philosopher and Nobel laureate)

If we reject God, then logic tells us that life has no purpose or meaning. But we can't live a meaningless existence so we invent praiseworthy things to do and then deceive ourselves into thinking that our inventions are our reason for existence.

I believe it is simply to exist. As humans. We are equipped with an awareness of our environment, with the ability to understand it. And for us to be able to percieve and acknlowedge the magnificence of our surroundings is like one the most astounding things ever.
