Ok, right now I have a small flip phone. (My carrier is verizon by the way) If I were to buy my own phone that is a Motorolla Q, would that change the cost of my bill? I'm not due for an upgrade for two years... does this mean that I can't change my phone for two years? Thanks for your help...

You should be asking your service provider these questions, unless you are willing to post your contract, and we are willing to read it. I know that if I bought a phone and didnt use any discounts T-mobile would not charge me extra or ask me to extend my contract, but thats my provider.

if you aren't on a special plan that might limit such but it's doubtful this would occur .so why don't you ask your provider.
