Yeah pretty much, unfortunately.

A bit like "we'll see" huh?

How aggravating!

I say this as a parent. Yes, if I say maybe, I usually mean no but I do not want the argument about why not at that moment.

Depends on the person.

Some people "maybe" pretty much means "probably not" or "no but I don't want to say "no"".

Some people "maybe" means "I'm not sure" or "perhaps yes" or they're undecided or they don't want to or can't make a commitment yet.

Usually, but it depends who you're talking to and what the question is...when my dad asks if I'd like to clean my room and I say maybe it means no but when my mum asks if I'm hungover and I say maybe it means yep

Maybe is his way of telling me no but he says maybe just means "I really dont know if i can hang out this weekend but theres a chance i'll say yes and thats all you need to know"

wtf does that mean? idk

He needs to man up and just say no

No maybe means I want to say no, but I don't want to hurt your feelings

Who sings that? I forget. I'd say that is right coming from a babe. Better do date non-babes like you find in churches and synagogues or Buddhist temples...religious types, nerdy types.

no- I always tell my kids that when I have to get more information. It means I am saving my final answer until I learn more.
