I just thought maybe those people that are into keeping historical buildings alive might be interested in helping to renovate the old school into a home so the building will be there for many more years to come. I was the last school captain at the school, it closed over 12yrs ago and is eaten out by termites, the main structure still seems fine though. The school played a big part in our small community and in our family. Even if you are unable to help, is there any kind of organisation or group that you know of who offer help in this kind of thing?

Try contacting a local historical society, or a preservation society. You might also consider seeing what might be available at your state or provincial level (if you're in the US or Canada).

Another idea might be to contact the History Channel--they might be able to help you find local historical or preservation groups.
