Emotional cheating! If you cheat emotionally, you are harming a person physically as well. However, both types of cheating are bad.

Physical because you could be exposing yourself to viruses and might expose the other person you claim to love to them as well. Regardless how careful you are, physical connection always bears risks, because of all the exchange of fluids, while kissing etc. Sometimes a condom just isn't enough. I once saw a paralysed person and they said he had a kissing disease. LOL. Not laughing at him obviously.
Emotional cheating is more like fantasy to me. If you fantasise about someone other than the person you're with when making love it's sometimes because it's gotten so normal and you're trying to spice it up for the both of you. Crappy excuse i know but there it is, and i'm sticking by it. LOL.

They are both pretty grim but in my book it would be far worse if my hubby built up an emotional attatchment to someone else rather then a one night stand that ment nothing

Both are bad.
But I think I will go with physical, as we can not control our emotions, but we can control our actings, so if we love someone, but cheat on them, without feeling anything for person that we are cheating with... wtf I am talking about? Do you think that is even possible? to love someone but to cheat on them.
So, cheating is the end of the story.
Emotional cheating is beginning of ending chapter.

Definitely physical it matters not what the person does either to me when people say ah it was a kiss or it meant nothing it is betrayal.
