If you have a PC, the mouse port should be at the back and have a little mouse symbol above it (its a bit hard to see sometimes). It should come with it's driver but some mouses are "plug n play" so theres no need for a driver. If it needs a driver you can usually download it for free off the manufacturers website. Hope this helped!

I use an optical laser mouse with a cord. It's a USB style, but functioned crappy this way. So I put a USB to PS/2 adapter on it, and plugged it in to the PS/2 port on the back of my computer, works great. I also went to Microsoft.com, and downloaded Intellimouse 5.5 Go to their main page, to the right, click on downloads. Then just put Intellimouse in the search bar on their page. Lots of options. I use the scrolling wheel for double-click, by pressing once down on it. Oh yeah, it didn't come with a driver. WindowsXP has thousands of drivers. Ubuntu 7.10 does too! I usually answer questions, as if I'm using Windows, as so many users out there do.

It's PS/2, but it could also be USB
It didn't need a driver, it's only basic.
