Romero Rocks! In my opinion the Dead Trilogy (Night, Day & Dawn) are masterpieces. Dawn is my favorite out of all three. The great thing about his films were they had a good story with some awsome gore. I have seen interviews with Romero and he seems like a nice guy with a brilliant mind.
Lucio Fulci is one of my favorites too. Thought his Zombie 2 was really cool.

His movies influenced the Resident Evil video games, which was made into a movie franchise. The 28 Days / Weeks movies.. I'm sure was also influenced by the Romero movies. I don't know of another director before Romero who made such an innovative movie w/ zombies as the antagonists in that era, so I would say yes George A. Romero is the only talented "Zombie Filmmaker" out there, all the others just took what he had already done and put their little spin on it.

i could go an all day praising his work .his movies have influenced my music ssoo much. ever since I dawn of the dead (THE ORIGINAL 1978 VERSION) ive been infatuated with his work.he is a true inavator and craftsman. master of the zombie genre,HANDS DOWN.
