Taking from the rich and giving to the poor. Do you think this is a good or bad thing?

very subjective - it depends on how rich and how poor and who decides who is who. Taxation is one way of 'taking from the rich' part of which goes into social services that "give to the poor" so institutionalize 'robin hoodery' is good. However, individuals taking money from a store register or private individual is not good, regardless of the motives or the distribution of the loot.

If you only had one dollar to your name, and the person next to you didn't even have that much, would it be 'good' for them to take it?
