Im an Indian and want India to win for sure.

However, Australians are too strong mentally and physically. They know how to fight and have great positive attitude, they really look like a team and they have worlds captain....who commands/not demands respect.

Indians cricket has improved, over decade, its not champion team. We may have good numbers on the book, but we fail to deliver. Ganguly has shown what will power can do. All other players need to know that they are the best in world and should play to their potential. Indian team looks like indivdual stars and not a team.

PLAY YOUR NATURAL GAME. THATS IT

Cheers for India

As Anil Kumble stated, India lost the match due to collective batting failure. first of all the openers allowed Australian bowlers to come on top by over defensive batting instead of attacking the bowling. Had they managed to come on top of the bowling in the early spell, Australian bowlers would not have been come on top. In a test match atleast minimum of 60 to 75 runs should be scored in each session, whereas indian openers could not score even 50 runs in 2 hours, which was a poor strategy. Australia won the match mainly because of the good opening partnership given by their openers that too at fast rate. Though India could manage to bat almost a full day, they could not scopre 200 runs, which madde lot of difference.

There is nothing to worry about, im sure that Indian will make a very good come back in the 2nd Test.

I hope the Indian players would have realised all their mistakes and corrected themselves to perform well in the 2nd Test.

Reason why India lost:
The Indian batsman's failed to perform well.

I don't know if its poor. I have not seen any country survive playing Australia in Australia. Sri Lanka recently lost their 1st test to Australia by more than an innings!

But in their second test, they were able to put up 400+ runs (sangakarra put 192), yet still lost.

The answer that best fits the question is that Australia is simply too powerful a team. Other teams simply cannot match Australia.

India should come back, but i'm still not sure that they'll be able to win.

Indian cricketers are the worlds most talented players....
but as it remains they still depend upon their talent to conquer any situation....
When you go for a series in australia ....the players will have to adjust to the bouncy tracks of the oz land...
for tht matter we did not have any pre series practises ....just a frendly....wud not help either....
so....Firstly ..atleast the next time we go abroad t oaustralia..we gotto have special camps ...for even the most talented of the players ..just to bring them to the groove....
as for this pitch at the MCG....this was far from a natural oz track..widout a lot of bounce...
the reason we lost the test was simply because our batsmen were devoid of ideas by the oz bowlers...
people like Dravid ,dhoni and yuvraj ...were made to look like
boys .in front of men....
the oz teams well prepared ..wid all the video references and stuff.....
so the next time kumble and his boys go out....if they play their natural game...its not gonna help either....
so the only way india can win over ther..is through adapting to every situation dat comes in those 5 days of game....and never to loose hope..!!
Attitude of few the players do trouble me.....dats gotta change!!
come on india....you have the support of a 100 crore people behind u ....
CHAK DE!!

u dont go to australia thinking that you are going to a beach party or to sunday family together.

bcci should have never planned for the pak series. instead the players should have been at a conditioning camp followed by 3-4 practice games in australia. at least the batters would have some match practice and conditioning to the pitches and bounce.

they may still comeback but kumble needs to do certain bold and harsh decisions.

drop dravid - step one. he is still a great player but is woefully out of form both in body and mind.

bring in karthik, at least he will score singles. the best bet we have is in rotating strike. and not playing the same bowler for six overs at one end. ultimately he will get you.

best of luck

The main reason is that the India's players has lost their confidante to reach the aim of their life. That is win the match at any cost.
